The Best Broccoli Salad (Amber Wilson, Food52)

Ingredients:

In a small bowl, whisk the buttermilk, mayonnaise, vinegar and salt until smooth. Stir in the shallot and allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes.

Trim the broccoli and chop it into large chunks, then into thin slices. Toss with almonds and cranberries.

Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and add pepper. Add optional feta or blue cheese before serving.
